Sharon is the founder of WorkHuman. She believes that all employees want to experience greater fulfilment, meaning and purpose in their working lives. Instead of organizations being a source of stress, why can’t they be an oasis for well-being?
She believes that the growth and expansion that organisations are reaching for does not happen without tapping into the passion of their employees.
Advances in behavioural science and artificial intelligence now provide the capability for organisations to align their workforce with jobs that match their passion and purpose.
People analytics is a game changer, not only because “what gets measured, gets done”, but also because it provides leadership with the insight to understand the capabilities of their talent and deploy human capital resources more effectively.
It has to be a win-win, empowering the organization to get the best from their talent. As well as to support employees to find their own true “north star” and lead more fulfilled working lives.
Sharon holds an M.B.S. in HRM, she has 13 years’ of experience in the field of occupational psychology and has overseen close to 500 assignments in the area of candidate recruitment, selection and employee development programs.
Sharon has worked directly with a number of CEO’s and Boards of Governors to design Talent Assessment Processes to support recruitment and internal ‘grow your own’ projects.
She has worked in Ireland, the U.K and internationally. Her experience spans both in the public and private sector. Besides the small to medium sized businesses in Ireland, her client list includes: Barclay’s Bank, Vodaphone, Microsoft, the Egyptian Ministry and recently the U.K Government. Besides the small to medium sized businesses in Ireland.
A key tenant of her work is encouraging self-awareness: “Before you can lead a team, you must have to first know how to lead yourself”.
Having worked as MD of a number of award winning companies Sarah is well acquainted with the demands and priorities of senior managers and is able to integrate this extensive experience with her skills as a coach.
For Sarah coaching is about helping the individual develop new levels of empowerment and creating the opportunity to try out new strategies in a safe environment.
Using analytics in her coaching assists in getting to the heart of issues quicker and therefore supports her clients to identify and resolve ‘root cause’ issues faster than traditional coaching methods. Sarah believes that regardless your current life circumstances or the position you hold in an organisation, it is important to remember that you have the power to show leadership.
